Mission Statement

The Day of Difference Foundation is a health promotion charity that works to raise funds that will be used to ensure the likelihood of survival for paediatric burns patients by facilitating optimal care in our hospitals through the prevention and control of those diseases resulting from burns; as well as enhancing the quality of life for those survivors and their families by assisting with the advancement of skin research and educating the community through various awareness-raising programs and activities.

Foundation Goals

The principal object of the Company is to promote the prevention and control of diseases affecting burns’ survivors. The principal object is to be achieved by:

providing broad-based education to burns’ survivors suffering from a disease
providing broad-based education to carers and service providers including health care workers and other organisations to enable them to appropriately support individuals suffering from a disease
providing relevant information to burns’ survivors suffering disease, health professionals, carers and to the public
engaging in activities to raise community awareness of a diseases affecting burns’ survivors and other similar diseases
providing various forms of relief to burns’ survivors suffering from a disease and their carers, including but not limited to any activity which enhances the support and quality of life for people with the symptoms of the diseases affecting burns’ survivors and their carers.

In promoting the prevention and control of diseases affecting burns’ survivors, there are some ancillary activities which the Foundation may engage in. It includes:

developing or providing relevant aids and equipment to burns’ survivors suffering a disease
attracting financial support to achieve these objects and provide funds to other organisations with similar objects, and
doing all other things incidental or conducive to the attainment of the specific objects in this Rule.

While the Company’s principal object is to focus on diseases affecting burns’ survivors, it is undoubtable that there are individuals with other types of diseases who will benefit from the Foundation’s activities

Incorporation

The Day of Difference Foundation Limited is a public company limited by guarantee. The Day of Difference Foundation Limited is endorsed as:

A Deductible Gift Recipient under the Health Promotion Charity Category, and
A Tax Concession Charity
