Banking Network
eMatters supports most banks in Australia and all banks in New Zealand and many banks in England, Ireland and Scotland.
Your choice of banks comes down to personal preference. If you are a startup, we recommend StGeorge as they will deal with a business without a track record.
You must acquire through a bank which is located in the country where your business is registered. If your business is registered in New Zealand, then you must use one of the New Zealand banks. This is a scheme requirement as set by Visa and Mastercard globally.
You can lodge your application with us BEFORE you speak with your bank - that way we can advise you on exactly which bank and product will suit your needs. Please be aware that some banks will not deal with you unless you have been referred in by eMatters. Also be aware that each bank has different offerings and different names for the Merchant Account that we require. In all cases, make sure that the bank issues you with an "Internet Merchant Facility" configured for eMatters.
